What's Giclée?!

Well, it's sort of French for 'nozzle' for a start and for seconds it's a very nice way of printing things and my good friends at Lazy Gramophone have very kindly added a set of my illustrations to there catalogue of available A6 Art Cards.

I thought it might be nice to see the words that have been used to accompany some of my Illustrations, and vice versa. This one started with this piece "Jetty" and ended with this nice poem by Sam Rawlings.

The Morning Harbours Silences

The morning harbours silences cracked as bark
and so dawn’s gristled talons depart.

Shell and splinters,
a massacre upon the marsh, as if puddles of rust yet still
they lift, the clouds, those shadows that veil our sun,
miraculous as footsteps each drawn against the last...

...trussed, we gasp,
mouths halos within the dark.
